Newbie??? Perhaps... Years ago I recall a major airline putting one down on Roosevelt Field on Long Island, at the time was abandoned. Made a touch and go. In the military, five of us upfront, nearly landed at Honolulu International. Friend of mine landed a tanker at a Brit base, 18 miles from our base. Happens to the best.
