Didn't George W. Bush become the first REPUBLICAN governor
of TEXAS in 100 years?? !!

I believe the Demonrat party loss house seats - and now
is a complete big Republican state.

Ann like Clinton cast the party down the drain-vile humans
that seem to never fade away (like teddy K. and Clinton-
The boose has pickled them to last a LOOOONg time)

No..... William Clements was elected for two different terms prior to George Bush.... I think Mark White served the term between his two terms.

Bill Clements was the first post-Reconstruction Republican governor, I think. Of course, Allan Shivers did lead the Texas Democrats for Eisenhower in 1952. (I don't know if Dolph Briscoe is still a Democrat though.)
