I kind of wish CBS would capitulate and run the ad. It would have no effect except to make millions of people hate the left even more than they already do, and cause moveon.org to be out a couple million bucks.
I kinda agree. At least, it will stir up the conservative base more than the liberal base. Plus, I dunno, wouldn't you think more than 50% of football fans are Republicans? Hmmm. We're talking football here, not sushi. I dunno.

Yo! Don't make the assumption they can't go together!
I'll have you know my local sushi monger is a (legal) Korean emigre who's been here 25 years, and has a great family (wife and some of the kids work at the shop). This guy took the time out to go to chaplain boot camp last year, as he had volunteered and was ready to go to Iraq. The Army ended up telling him they didn't need him to go. The family was running the business in his absence. We liked the guy before, we love him now.
He always has a game on the TV at the sushi bar, baseball in summer, football in the Fall/Winter.

Such an ad would be polarizing. Many people to gather and watch the Super Bowl; sometimes with friends and friends of friends, sometimes with extended family, and sometimes with total strangers at a bar with a big screen.
If CBS ran this ad it might be counter productive as conservative viewers shouted BS in unison.
Also if CBS let this stand then they would be faced with the prospect of airing political ads during similar programming. It would make it difficult for them to refuse to air NRA, pro-life, etc. ads without showing their bias.
