PARIS (AFP) Jan 15, 2004
French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie travelled to the United States Thursday for her first visit there since the US-led invasion of Iraq. The minister was to hold talks with her American counterpart Donald Rumsfeld and with National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, her spokesman Jean-Francois Bureau said.
"The discussions in Washington will take place in a positive spirit of cooperation. They are a sign that our American partners want to talk to us as much as we want to talk to them," he said.
"In everything to do with security and defence we are truly in a process of cooperation and absolutely not of confrontation," he said.
The Paris daily Le Monde reported Thursday that the French government is studying the possibility of military involvement in Iraq under a UN banner once the handover of sovereignty to the Iraqis takes place in June.

French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie Is he the guy that carries the French version of the U.S. presidential Football?
The U.S. Football contains communications equipment and the Nuclear Missile launch codes. The French Football is a collection of white flags and translations of "France Surrenders Unconditionally" in 100 languages.

After this trip is concluded, he'll have to tell Chirac about the visit. When Chirac asks what Bush said, this guy should just open his suitcase and take out a pre-written French defense budget (given to him as a gift by Bush, courtesy of the DoD) with massive spending increases. After all, Bush will have told France that we're no longer going to protect them like children.
Too bad the above scenario would only happen if there were justice in this world.

Hmmm... how about smelling like a French whore. Can you do one of those?
After all, the head French guy in defense is a girlie.

The French need some extreme US defense technology for their own military capability. They figure that if they build them out of redwood, the propellers on the one and only French aircraft carrier won't rot as quickly every time they put it in drydock (regular weekly overhaul). Try the Freedom Fries, froggie.
