Last year, AIDSVAX, a vaccine created by Brisbane, Calif.-based VaxGen Inc., failed to protect volunteers...If only they'd tried AIDSUnix instead.

But the 22 scientists complained the Thai experiment is diverting critical funding and energy from other more promising vaccine candidates, including some of their own.
It is not about AIDS it is about grabbing some loot of the money train.
