"I think we have sort of a Donovan McNabb phenomenon going on here - people very desirous that she succeed in politics because she is a black woman."
Isn't this frightening?
Rice is more liberal than Bush is, and people on this board are always crying about how "Bush isn't a real Conservative" - and these are the same people infatuated with Rice.

I agree with Bill Owens. Karl Rove can take care of throwing Hildy's stink bombs back at her.
I have great respect for Condi Rice, but she's a non-starter for Prez. She's never held elective office and has no base of support. She's pro-abortion. She would make a terrific Secretary of State in the next administration. She would be a possibiiity for V.P.

and these are the same people infatuated with Rice.Actually, I kind of doubt that. The Bush Bashers have no horse in the 2008 GOP race, because they aren't Republicans, either actually, or in name.

I think it's more out of a desire to stick it to the Dems than any actual desire to see Condi elected to some office.

Dittos on that - why do we want a moderate heading the ticket in 2008?
Why are we looking at the cover and not the book?
I am 10 times more impressed with guys like Herman Cain
(GA senate candidate) than I am with yet-another-RINO-in-the-tent.
Everyone, dont wait for 2008, and dont waste 2008 on a moderate... 2005-2006 is the CONSERVATIVE MOMENT. We will have to make the most of it!!

"Rice is more liberal than Bush is, and people on this board are always crying about how "Bush isn't a real Conservative" - and these are the same people infatuated with Rice." I've noticed that too. Don't misunderstand. I like Condi Rice and I think she is very good at what she does as far as I can tell, but I don't think she is presidential material, at least not on a Republican ticket.
