I think Haley Barbour, the new Gov. of Mississippi could make a good run. Might even be a pretty good President.

Haley Barbour is great - and would likely keep the fires stoked for the Old Guard GOP - but, much as I love the guy, I don't think he'd be the man for '08. That man would be Rudy the "G," with Ms. Condi as his #2 (though I am more than a little concerned with their respective affirmative action stances.)

Let us have him govern Mississippi for 4 years, then we'll see, but I agree, Haley Barbour is the finest and most wholesome, self-made man in politics today.

Barbour/Rice or vice versa works for me.

Too portly. Mike Huckabee would be a better choice than Haley, but Mike is too portly, too.
