Well I certainly was duped. I honestly was under the false impression that Bush was a conservative.. probably because of his claims of being a Christian. What I should've realized that he would follow in his father's footsteps.
The bloom is certainly off the rose. I WILL not vote for Bush ..as some will do. The hope that it will make a difference ..certainly came to pass but I doubt that conservatives would be looking at policies that would make such a 'difference' that our country would be put at risk. Our eyes are fixed on terrorism.. and compared to what lies ahead due to Bush's reckless immigration proposal is minuscule in comparision to the risk of an attack by terrorists.

Rmember the whooping you put on the ol' Dawg in that thread, Cat? Oh, yeah. I remember.

In California it will be met by wild cheering in the streets Yes, especially in San Fransisco where they already believe that Bush is Hitler and this gives them proof.
To: F16Fighter
Wouldn't it be inspirational to hear the Commander-in-Chief utter these same truths? It will be, when we get one who thinks that way.

Oh, they get lots of hand outs from the Feds. Such as?

Well, you apparently have more in common with the denizens of babylon by the bay than those of us in S California. We'll be celebrating because some President has finally put enforcing the law above his perceived political self-interest.

Fanny Mae, Freddie Mac and WIC, just to name 3.

Yes, especially in San Fransisco where they already believe that Bush is Hitler and this gives them proof. This is truly an amazing statement- either you agree with the SF radicals that deporting illegals is a Nazi act, or you are afraid to enforce immigration law because SF radicals are going to call you names. So which of these is your position?

WIC is state controlled, I don't see the connection to the other two. How do Illegals benefit from those programs.

A right to be educated at taxpayer expense.
A right to healthcare.
Both of these "rights" were exposed when Judge Pfaelzer and Gray Davis conspired to kill Prop 187.

And all at state expense and policy. Keep digging.
To: Texasforever
WIC is state controlled, WIC is funded by the Federal Government and use US tax money to fund it. Also, illegals in all States use it. It's a Federal handout, the States just set the income level cut off, and of course, they use Federal paid for studies to set those levels.
I don't see the connection to the other two. How do Illegals benefit from those programs.
They get Federally Insured, cheap home loans. And yes, they do use both.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Everything he says about Bush applies equally well to Reagan. Reagan sent troops into Lebanon and made a deal with Congress that raised taxes. Not everything that Reagan did was right. Now, do you have a RATIONAL point to make against Mr. Farah, or are you simply manipulating people's emotions by referencing their affection for Ronald Reagan?

A right to be educated at taxpayer expense.
A right to healthcare. Yep, and there are more. I wasnt going to waste my time listing them all for TF.
To: Texasforever
And all at state expense and policy. Wrong again.
The policy is Federal and now that Congress has approved Federal Funds to reimburse the States, its now a Federal Handout.
To: Texasforever
Pfaelzer is a Federal judge, enforcing Federal law. Try again.
