There's also the classic Twilight Zone episode with 6-year old Bill Mumy who could "wish people into the cornfield" (never to be seen again) if they annoyed him. He wished a lot of people into the corn field and the entire town was terrified of him. He had no concern for others, and there was nothing that could limit his murderous actions.
I believe that would have been an adaptation of the short story. They don't make TV like that anymore!
