Bill to repeal school contracting law fails in Senate committee

SACRAMENTO - A law targeted for repeal by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as part of his plan to change parts of state education spending survived an attempt to eliminate it in a Senate committee Wednesday.

Schwarzenegger had sought the repeal of the law, which requires school contracts for landscaping, busing and other services to protect workers' wages and salary, saying it prevented schools from spending their money more efficiently.

I'm suspicious this rather ambiguous, almost certainly purposely considering the source and the publisher, article is talking about the "prevailing wage" law which is the biggest rip off of the tax payer since income tax withholding.

Arnold hasn't exactly struck terror in the hearts of the Legislature, hasn't he? Mr. "Let's-all-work-together-to-help-the-people" is in for one long education.

The Slave Party knows only power; they couldn't care less if there's a fiscal disaster. Our "Terminator" would do better to start living the part.
