My daughter would just melt at your "furbaby" picture. She's wanted a westie for quite some time. I've read they are even more stubborn than schnauzers.

They can be stubborn. Not usually recommended for small children but really friendly little dogs who tend to get themselves into trouble because they think they are as big as a rottweiler. Lots of energy. Most people don't think about that when they see them. They don't realize they were bred to hunt prey. When the breed was being developed, back when dogs had to "pay" their way and weren't simply pets, the litter was culled by placing a 9 month old westie in a barrel with a badger. The survivors joined the clan. They are tough tough little guys. What's more, they work in teams instinctively (a real kick to watch several of them going to hunt). I've had several different breeds and these guys are the most intelligent (I think it's the "working in packs" thing).

Killer cuddlers they are. btw, the site these photos come from have lots more and worth the visit. It's not my site and I do not know any of these folks.
