Wodehouse fan, Jeeves?

"Indeed, sir." I love the "Jeeves and Wooster" TV series with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie just as much as the books. Wodehouse's work is a glimpse at some important elements of Western culture which have been almost forgotten in these times.

Those books are some of the zaniest farces ever written and a delight to read. A friend of mine recently lent me the first season of the TV series on DVD. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they captured Wodehouse's prose. Furthermore, they add context visually in a way that doesn't come through in the books.

By the way, is Wodehouse pronounced /Wood-house/ or /Woad-house/? I've heard both used, but someone told me Wodehouse himself pronounced it /Wood-house/.
