What nonsense.....you don't have the ability to comprehend what you read. He wasn't saying marriage leads to domestic violence.

By definition, domestic violence involves married couples and a household. BAD MARRIAGES that are forced could lead to more domestic violence. That is what he is saying, not that marriage itself does that.

If that is the case he was very careless, uncomfortably careless, unprofessionally careless in how he said what he did.

As I read it -- and over the course of my life I've had to read things this closely -- he is saying that either he believes, or that the overwheming and active consensus view amoung the groups he works within is, the belief: "Marriage is the cause of domestic violence."
