Did you give up prints?

I think I did either for the green card or the passport. Wasn't a big deal at all.

Everyone whose work involves holding a Series 7 (registered securities representative) license, or any other SEC license, has to "give up prints" (gazillions of Americans, including myself). I don't have a problem with it, much less for foreigners entering the country. I hand 'em my fingers, they ink 'em and press 'em, and then they're even nice enough to give me little wet-wipe thingies to clean my fingers off with.

You give a thumb print in California. It has been that way here for about 25 years.

All visitors from all countries entering the US should be photographed and fingerprinted.

All illegal aliens in the US should be rounded up and deported. The government can start with enforcing the laws banning illegals from getting a job. It is commmon knowledge that numerous industries are havens for the hiring of illegals. In Ca, the drywall construction industry is nearly 100% illegals working for half the wages of the Americans who held those jobs 10 years ago. In the Mid-west, the packing houses are full of illegals, also holding the formerly higher paying jobs of Americans.
