Both of these assessments cannot be true and after spending years looking at politics, I took my first serious stand on a candidate in 1968 at the tender age of 9, if both sides are mad at you, you are probably on the right track.

Another possibility is that you're behaving so outrageously stupid that everyone agrees that you're a blithering idiot. Sort of like what happened to Gerald Ford in the 1980 presidential debates, when he claimed that there is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe.

Actually, Joe, that was in 1976.

Part of the problem with conservatives is that they don't know how to adjust the playbook to hold on to power. The Lefties do. Stupid conservatives who don't care about, say, Supreme Court appointments go out and become Brigadiers or vote Constitution Party, Libertarian, or, when they are real asshats, write in Alan Keyes.

I'm voting Bush in 2004. We have a two party system in this country. We are in the middle of a war, and electing Howard Dean could lose that war. It will be either Bush or Dean. I choose Bush.

Some folks on the right need to get a clue, or by a vowel, or both. EVERTONE on the right needs to vote for Bush this election cycle. You may not agree with everything he has done. Success in the war, however, should trump every other issue.

Be Seeing You,

Chris
