"It is now incumbent upon the FEC to not sanction the undermining and evasion of [the McCain-Feingold law] through the activities of newly formed 527 organizations dedicated to electing or defeating specific federal candidates," wrote RNC lawyer Charles R. Spies.

Nice to see the RNC fighting for the McCain-Feingold bill. Guess their posturings about its unconstitutionality were just that. BS posturing. Sheesh why don't they just speed up the trashing of our rights??

If they're gonna outlaw soft money, they should really outlaw soft money, not just take it away from parties.

Ideally I'd like unlimited contributions with full disclosure, but we're on a different road now.

I guess I just don't know how to feel here. I don't like the idea of shredding the constitution in order to save it, but we've already shredded it anyway.

On the other hand, I'm not that confident the GOP will save it.

As far as I can see the Democrats are out and out socialists.

But I'm starting to think that the Republicans don't have any working political philosophy at all, which is kind of alarming.

The GOP has a "stratergery" - "stealing the Rats issues." Its a great plan. Act just like the Rats to win votes. The only thing in the way is that pesky Constitution that they have to pee on. But only those silly extreme Nazi conservatives care about that and who are THEY going to vote for hmm??
