Serial kliller Harold Shipman is dead after being found hanging in his cell at Wakefield prison.
The ex-GP's death comes after his privileges were taken away as a punishment for his rudeness and arrogance to prison staff and other inmates.
The ex-GP had his prisoner status reduced from "enhanced" to "basic" for general non-compliance with the regime inside, it was reported.
A prison source was quoted as saying: "He has got such an offensive, obnoxious attitude."
The television in his cell has been removed and he had to wear the prison uniform instead of more comfortable casual clothes.
Shipman, 57, was jailed for murdering 15 patients while he was a family doctor in Hyde, Greater Manchester.
An inquiry found he killed at least 200 more.

He has got such an offensive, obnoxious attitude Most doctors seem to have a built-in superiority complex.

There's a bad element entering prisons these days.

This horrible man specialized in killing elderly women who trusted him as their doctor. He would make house calls and inject them with poison - it took a long time for people to catch on.
My prayers are for the grieving families they left behind. Hanging was too good for him.

He should have gone to work for the Taliban instead of killing here. There, he could have killed to his hearts content.

Y'know, I always felt it would be kind of nice to provide these type of jailbirds with a rope, in case they needed to escape from a burning building, y'know. Then we could honor them by putting up a memorial plaque in their cells. Like-minded perps who occupy the cell afterward would stare at the plaques long enough to get inspired, if you catch my drift.
Much cheaper than a professional hangman, who are in quite short supply. Much cheaper than paying all the lawyers to run the gauntlet of anti-death penalty sob sisters.

Perhaps he could have become a prison doctor.

[P]risoner status [was] reduced from "enhanced" to "basic"... Does Microsoft marketing study the British penal system or vice versa? "Congratulations, you've been upgraded to enhanced, you can wear your own pajamas."

Pathetic when a serial murderer ends up having a clearer sense of justice (for himself anyway) than the justice system. It is society's obligation to each other and the concept of justice to execute such criminals upon conviction. The timidity under the guise of compassion or "superior civilization" that the anti- death penalty crowd foists upon entire nations is actually cowardice and a regression to days when barbarians ruled the turf.
