Of course not. I'm saying that we have higher standards than the democrats have, and that's a good thing. As for Shays, I'll repeat. He was wrong to vote against impeachment. He's right this time.

He's only " right " this time, because Rowland didn't pay him off, as Clinton did. No, I have no " proof " that Clinton somehow got to Shays, but I'd bet the manse on it.

I think, then, that a better statement would be that we should hold EVERYONE to a higher standard.
At the same time, we must also recognize that the two situations are hardly equivalent. A local politico who is a corrupt two-bit criminal is of no national consequence; we already know the dire national consequences of retaining a corrupt president who commits rape and other high crimes with disturbing ease.
