Well, Shays is pretty easy to figure out. Slick Willie was doing well in the polls, while Rowland isn't. Therefore, Shays could forgive Slick's "crimes" while he won't forgive Rowland's "misdemeanors."

I'm sick and tired of Republicans who won't get rid of bad apples.

You're right. We should hold our own to a higher standard. Shays should have voted to impeach, but he's doing the right thing now.

We should hold our own to a higher standard.

You aren't saying that we should have a double standard, are you?

Frankly, tho, I would make it 3. Lieberman is no less culpable. What is it with Connecticut politicos, anyway???

Of course not. I'm saying that we have higher standards than the democrats have, and that's a good thing. As for Shays, I'll repeat. He was wrong to vote against impeachment. He's right this time.

He's only " right " this time, because Rowland didn't pay him off, as Clinton did. No, I have no " proof " that Clinton somehow got to Shays, but I'd bet the manse on it.

I really wasn't commenting on Shays' motivation. I don't know enough about him to do that. I was just saying that I have no problem with holding our own to a tough standard.

Neither do I, but that is NOT what Shay's is doing.

I live in Conn., so know whereof I speak. Shay's is garbage.
