[history]
The Tulare County Board of Supervisors will hear public comment Tuesday on a proposal to authorize the state to issue $9 million in industrial-development revenue bonds for a proposed ethanol plant in Goshen.
The bonds would help lower interest rates on other monies borrowed to fund land purchases, construction of facilities and equipment purchases for the plant that would convert corn and other feedstocks into ethanol.

That's a good idea ('cept for smoking. LOL).
It might provide tribes with other opportunities for economic growth in their areas rather than just owning/running gaming casinos.
That would really have the econazis hopping mad and on the warpath, but Hey.. they'll get over it.

DON'T DO IT! Ethanol is a waste, and it will stink up your town! I know--we had one in South Bend.

McClatchy obviously thinks the general public is really stupid. After making the honest statement:
to authorize the state to issue $9 million in industrial-development revenue bonds
Then they have the gall to quote a state employed con artist
What's important for people to note is that the repayment of the bonds is solely the responsibility of the company or companies requesting the issuance."
Yes you (James Hamill, a program manager for CSCDA) dishonest f**k and when Phoenix BioIndustries LLC defaults on the bonds then who will pay?
McClatchy continues their absolutely irresponsible tradition when promoting public expenditures.
