There is nobody in the world who is as relieved as Paul O'Neil to find out that document is not important at all. I just heard on ABC news that the Treasury Dept is launching an investigation in to how O'Neil got a copy of this document (did he take it with him when he left). The Whitehouse has taken the high road and decided to ignore the mjority of the charges but this document has the potential to be ugly. not that it is anyway accurate, but it does imply that there was a plan to divvy up world oil between the administration's buddies. This charge (and no others- they are all ridiculouos) should be addressed.
I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. You say, "It does imply that there was a plan..." The document in question does not imply that. As I understand it, the book says it (not implies it), but the evidence that they based the accusation on is this document which, as the article at the top of this thread points out, was part of an assessment of world oil supply: "the document has nothing to do with post-war Iraq. It was part of a study of global oil supplies."
