Whoa Tex, simmer down :)

We're on the same side here and I think you misunderstood my meaning. I don't think I expressed myself well enough, after reading it upon receiving your response I do think we are on the same side and I do think that what we both said is valid. I'm apologizing right now for the way my original comment came across, I tend to get my shorts in a bind when it comes to hunting because I want my boy to be able to enjoy the outdoors and the Hunt just as much as I have.

(there are far too many people who ARE on the side of hunters, who suddenly get squeamish when it comes to Trapping, and I agree, trapping gets a bum rap in the press if it's not handled properly)

I still tho think that those of us who are on the side of hunters in general should step up to the plate and help the Trappers.

Else what happens when they come for us?

I try to keep that in mind. But I'm not sure if trappers should be discreet or brazen about their livelihood. PETA and the animal rights crowd have an awful PR advantage.

I'm all for trapping but it's got to be one heck of a way to make a living.

Here's a story for ya, My folks had a condo in Macomb twp, Michigan and a bunch of years ago, when lots of subs were going up, there was an article in the Macomb daily about some new residents complaining that their newly planted trees on the backs of their property bordering a creek (glorified drainage ditch) were being cut down and taken away. Showing a picture of one of the left overs, it was obvious that the culpret was a beaver! LOL!

Sure enough, couple weeks later they ran a follow up story that it was a pair of beaver and that they were trapped by the DNR and relocated........Michigan flatlanders, most of whom don't have a clue!
