Swamp,

I too was considering staying home. Now I think that I'll actually go out and vote for whoever the dems nominate. After CFR, the Education Bill, the Prescription Drug Bill, and this latest immigration travesty, I've seen enough of Bush's compassionate conservatism. It's starting to smell too much like good old fashioned liberalism.

Electing a democrat with a republican congress will ensure four years of gridlock - which means that in 2008 America will be better off than it would have been with another four years of the type of proposals that have been coming out of the White House since 2000.

In all honesty, I can't vote for any Democrat. I very much oppose abortion on demand. I believe it is the murder of innocents, therefore, if I give my vote to a politician who supports murder I am a murderer myself.

I do believe that in years to come a new conservative party will come into existence -- one we can all support. I believe it will be a necessity since the Democrats and Republicans, as we now know them, will no longer exist.

Wait until election day, 2004 and see what misery Bush is dishing out for us at that time, and vote accordingly, I guess.
