>>>>>Skenderbeg was anything but an Albanian<<<<

Yes, and Tutankhamon was anything but an Arab.He lived in Egypt :-)
Jesus Christ was anything but Palestinian. He lived in Palestine :-)

Let's get serious.

Skenderbeg's father, mother, brothers, sisters, grandfater, grand-grandfather were Serbs and he mysteriously became Albanian.

Shqip people call themselves Shqip, not Albanians, as you have demonstrated with your tagline.Term "Albania" and "Albanians" is meant only for external use to justify fraudulent claim of ancestry to Illiricum.

In Roman Times Illirya spread all across the Balkans.

Illyrian tribes were:

Alban
Arbër
Ardian
Dalmat
Dardan
Dasaret
Enkelejt
Eordej
Epiriot
Japod
Japyg
Kaon
Labeat
Mesap
Mollos
Paion
Parthin
Penest
Pirust
Taulant
Thesprot

NOT A SINGLE ONE WAS CALLED SHQIP.

Due to the migrations and intermingling, everyone in the Balkans has the Illyrian, Thracean and Celtic genes, not only Shqiptars. Yet, it is only Shqiptars who claim they are the ancestors of Illirycum.

This is seriuos mass delusion. Shqiptaria is a diagnosis.

Belief in mysterious things is not uncommon today

GeraldP, you are newbie around here so you perhaps do not know that it is impossible to sell fake stories to Freepers.

I however encourage you to do so, it awards me an oportunioty to expose Albanian fabrications and delusions for amusement of fellow Freepers.

My GUESS would be that the guy started trafficking in stolen cars, narcotics, and women, and therefore the chamber of commerce got together and made him an official Albanian. That would explain it.

History
Antiquity
The Illyrians
The origins of the Albanian people are not definitely known, but data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands they inhabited.

If you go to a history forum and say what you have been saying here you will become the laughing stock of the forum. However you might have quite a bit of success on UFO and Illuminati forums, seeing as you are interested in conspiracy theories.
