Bush deserves to be impeached (Commie Alert-Boston Globe Letter to the Editor)

Bush deserves to be impeached

1/12/2004

THE CARNEGIE Endowment for International Peace report confirms that the Bush administration systematically misrepresented the threat from Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile program, and compares the misrepresentations of two presidents ("Carnegie study calls arms threat overstated," Page A1, Jan. 9). President Clinton misrepresented an extramarital affair. The impact? Damaged integrity and perhaps a damaged marriage for the Clintons. The reaction? Near impeachment and universal Republican apoplexy.

President Bush misrepresented the threat posed by Iraq. The impact? An unnecessary war, the deaths of thousands of Iraqis and hundreds of Americans, the wholesale devastation of a nation and its infrastructure, untold damage to America's credibility and alliances, the further undermining of the United Nations, the worsening of widespread animosity toward the United States, and the setting of a dangerous precedent of preemptive war.

The reaction? The two don't even compare. If misrepresentation on this scale, with results of such widespread suffering, doesn't deserve impeachment, then I don't know what does.

LOL

Here is more of his bio. Note his use of the term "comrade". Apparently he's got one of those arraigned marriages going on.

The impact? [blah blah blah] ...the further undermining of the United Nations...

And that has made all the difference, as Robert Frost might say.

Yeah, but the caveat I included in that line was that I DON'T believe it was faulty. Look at the shells we just found. That said, Clinton appointee Tenet can take a hike anyway.

You can tell just how bad Clinton damaged the left by the desparate, non-stop attempt to brand Bush a liar in order to draw a moral equivalence so they can say-"you guys lie to BUT WORSE!!!!"

If he is going to suggest impeachment, he needs to provide a legal/constitutional basis.

I would not recommend reading the Globe Letters to the Editor unless your're steeling yourself for a 'freep'.

Impeach Bush! You hear this rant on DU all the time. The left will not be satisfied until they impeach one of ours, whether it is justified or not. They are blind with rage.

BS on Rummy and Wolf. Rummy is single handedly dragging the Pentagon off it's sorry ass and into the 21st century.

Big deal on the WMD. Intell suggested it existed in a big way, we acted...so what?

I agree on Tenet, he's got to go.

"I bet if this was Clinton you would be the first to be wanting someone head."

Well, if this was Clinton the mass graves would still be piling up. But yes, I would want his head anyway.

Two things.

Has it occurred to you that there may be more hidden stashes of chemical weapons?

Chemical weapons are WMD.

Enough of your emissions, Emitter.

It may be fun to laugh at some neocommunist wing nut, but give a serious thought to his position. I GUARANTEE that if the dems ever again hold the Congress while a Republican is in office, they will impeach him, no matter how silly or frivolous the grounds.

Willie skunked the dems and tricked/forced them into lying to support him. The only way they can justify there dishonesty with respect to the filth and corruption of Willie and his sewer dwellers is to seek to bring a Republican down to Willie's level. I GUARANTEE that whatever the charge against the Republican, the dem faithfull will stand on the steps and, with straight faces, claim that the charge DOES rise to the level...

That is why it is so important that we get rid of the old leftists who proved they were liars when they backed Willie. All the dem Texans who will be redistricted out of office and all the members of the fully segregated, step-n-fetchit Congressional Black Caucus must be replaced. Hyphenated name or no, we should take jerks like this seriously because it could happen.
