Not really. Chauncey was innocent and unsullied by the ways of the world. Although he had no clue as to what the president's advisers were talking about, his unintended analogies fit what they were trying to say to the public in order to sell their ideas. Clark is just a weasel who also happens to be dumb.

True, of course. But he also absorbed the common culture from TV and was highly regarded for spewing it out again without the least understanding. Clark has heard all the left wing lines and spews them out with little regard for consistency or validity.
