"She might have called him a bastard. I wouldn't rule that out. She's never claimed that she was pure on profanity. But I've never heard her tell a joke with an ethnic connotation. She's so fanatic about it. She can't tell an ethnic joke. It's not in her."

Bill Clinton, in a call to
the New York Daily News

"Hillary hit him between the eyes. She was angrier than Paul had ever seen her. 'You f**king Jew bastard!' she screamed."

author Jerry Oppenheimer
quoting campaign aide Paul Fray
State of a Union
(New York: Harper-Collins, 2000) p. 153

Gandhi, gas station attendant, was supposed to be a joke; ethnicity, i.e, exploitation of stereotype, was a crucial component; hence, hillary clinton's throwaway (you can bet she wishes she had) lines were an ethnic joke.... Q.E.D.

But as I have argued ad nauseam, the implications of hillary clinton's ethnic "joke" are of greater import than the substance of the "joke" per se.

  • clinton's ethnic "joke" belies the denial of hillary's anti-Semitic slur.
  • clinton's ethnic "joke" exposes/confirms the obvious: purported clinton smarts is primarily PR, not IQ.
