But suppose someone did not want to make reservations? Suppose he did not want to pay? Suppose he just showed up at the restaurant, shoved his way to the front of the line, demanded to be served, and insisted that the patrons at Table 8 pay for his meal? That is just what is happening in our country.
Sure, the guy who does this might be "poor." He might just be "looking for a better meal." He might even be a real swell guy if you sat down and had a beer with him. But you can't blame the other patrons of the restaurant, the ones who are playing by the rules, for being furious with him. And you can't blame the patrons at Table 8 for balking at paying his bill.
