Thanks for the repost. This article got a lot of interest back when the Clinton machine was shredding away the republic. It should now be obvious to all but the most stubborn of partisans that the elitists baby-boomers of both parties are pushing the nation to a crisis state similar to the years of the Great Depression and WW-II.

They know not what they do. They simply are marching to their generational drummers, just as those generations of WW-II, the Civil War, the Revolution, and all the way back through history.

I highly recommend the book The Fourth Turning (Neil Howe and William Strauss) for a different perspective on the cycles of America's history, the generations that have shaped those cycles of history, and the generations that are currently in play as we enter another Fourth Turning (crisis era). This book was published in 1997, prior to the impeachment hearings, yet has some eerie predictions of events and trends that have developed in the five years since then, and some predictions of trends to expect in the next few years.

The events and timeline of the Dragon's Fury series falls easily within the trends predicted by Howe & Strauss, with the crisis era developing full on around 2005 and lasting for a decade or more. I would especially recommend this book for anyone writing futuristic novels, and also those who enjoy speculating about, and would like to ensure, the future of the republic. To the others, never mind.
