Exactly! I would hope that our president had worked up a number of contingencies plans on issues that involved American national security, including the removal of Saddam Hussein. As such, I have no doubt that plans were considered regarding how to deal with Saddam, including his removal.

so this shows the Bush team took the Saddam threat seriously and was doing something about it earlier than we thought. that's good, not bad. That was my thought, too. Combine that with their plan to address al Qaeda as well, and they seem to have attempted to do more in a scant few months to protect this country than the previous administration did in eight years.
