Exactly! I would hope that our president had worked up a number of contingencies plans on issues that involved American national security, including the removal of Saddam Hussein. As such, I have no doubt that plans were considered regarding how to deal with Saddam, including his removal.

That was my thought, too. Combine that with their plan to address al Qaeda as well, and they seem to have attempted to do more in a scant few months to protect this country than the previous administration did in eight years.

Yep, either Bush was doing nothing against terror before 911 or he was doing something about it, in any case his detractors will seek to nail him.
