Not only was the letter on his website but he read it on the floor of the House. If you can prove the letter is bogus you've got a scoop. You'll be a hero at DU and moveon.com, Go for it!

The author of the letter is Rhonda Rose:

The Tancredo bashers have been quite busy the last couple of days. I've been involved in flame wars over this. He's not a perfect man, but what politican is ? GWB dropped the ball on CFR and I'm almost 100% sure Tancredo voted against it in the House.

Giving legal status to the line-jumpers is just plain wrong. At least we have some in Congress willing to fight this.

That poor dear. I hope Rep. Tancredo's constituent services staffers helped her get services from all the social welfare agencies, public and private, that she so desparately needs. Perhaps you could organize a fund-raiser--I think a telethon is a bit over the top.

And if her husband is a framing contractor, the type in the construction industry, I hate to tell him, but it's a dying job, taken over, not by illegal aliens, but by technology. The majority of frames are being made, not on site, but in large plants, cut with the assistance of computerized machines. I hope Rep. Tancredo can help her husband get retraining.
