I certainly hope so. Otherwise IMHO a lot of the things we're trying to do around the world, like here and in Afghanistan will all be for nothing.

I certainly hope so. One of my CO's used to say, "Hope is neither a method nor a plan." I would prefer if neither national party was flooding the polling places with lawyers, but given that they are doing it, the GOP has to...they cannot expect every local precinct to be prepared to fight the resources of a national party. I think the goal should be at least one WELL trained (not necessarily a lawyer) R observer in every precint.
I think the GOP should devote serious resources to training observers, both local and travelling national.
