I'm posting this legislation that Ravingnutter mentions in this
thread. I had not seen this before, and I think Mr.Nutter is right, this is something we can get behind.

Thanks for the link to this legislation. I agree with you we need to support it so we can start to get our border situation back under control.

This Act may be cited as the
`Border Enforcement and Revolving Employment to Assist Laborers Act of 2003'
or the `BE REAL Act of 2003'.
Otherwise known as the
Guest enforcement targeting volumes of encroaching transients escaping security
or the Get Votes act of 2003

To you and all the other hateful, xenophobic, isolationist, nativist, foaming at the mouth, immigrant- bashing, right-wing lunatic fringe, buchananite, protectionist, tancredistas:
Do you remember when California used to be in play at the very least for Republicans in presidential politics? The sad thing is that when it comes to moral values, the Latinos have more in common with our agenda than with the liberal, abortionist, pro-gay politics of the Democrats. But one sadly misguided Republican- sponsored proposition is all it took to drive 90% of Latinos into the Democrat column. If Tommy T. were to get his way (thank God this bill has a snowball's chance in he!! of being enacted), he would do to Republicans on the national level what Pete Wilson did in one state.
You guys are delusional.
We live in the greatest nation in the history of civilization, and that greatness is founded on our open society and welcoming to outsiders. You are on the wrong side of history.
To: Klickitat
Thanks for the link. I have bookmarked the HR 3534 page and the bill status page, so I can follow it.
Thanks for posting too......
BTW: Bush has lost my vote in 2004. I don't care if he backs off on this in the coming months. He'll just re-address it in 2005! He has lost his credibility with me.

Come here legally, and you are very welcome indeed. Come here illegally and you are no better than any other two-bit criminal. You deserve to be treated as such, not welcome guests.
This has nothing to do with RACE, and EVERYTHING to do with respect for the rule of LAW.

I cant beleive how stupid that was. Blacks also have more in common with the Republican party but they dont vote Republican. Time to take your obviously racist, white hating views elsewhere.

"In case Tancredo hasn't noticed, our military is kind of occupied right now."It's about time europe took up the load in the former Yugoslavia. We can bring those troops back, and put them on the border. They already have MP experience and plenty of patrol experience so they'd be well qualified.
