This is a total non-story. Even USA Today did an exhaustive study back in April of 2001 and concluded Bush won fair and square.
Plus the dagger went through the Rats' hearts when FL voters re-elected Jeb Bush. Anyone who still believes, despite overwhelming facts and evidence to the contrary, that Gore won the 2000 election is seriously smoking some lethal drugs.

This is a total non-story The controversy over the 2000 is a total non-story, not the article itself. That's what I meant.

Readers of the New York Times were treated on Sunday to a massive report claiming that hundreds of overseas Florida ballots cast in violation of state law were nonetheless counted by election officials under pressure from representatives of George W. Bush.
What the story fails to report is that federal law required Florida to count these votes. I'm convinced that these people want a civil war. They did everything they could to contravene the constitution in that election. Since then they've done their level best to convince everyone with a two digit IQ that George Bush and the Republicans 'stole' the election. On top of that they want to push the idea that we're supposed to be a pure democracy and the Electoral College is some Republican conspiracy to keep the po' folk down.
It's no big deal coming from the rags-and-snot street protesters but this keeps coming from major media outlets. These East Coast liberal elitists know it's BS. Don't they know that most Americans know it's BS?

Why let the facts get in the way of pushing an agenda, isn't that the motto of the NY Times?
This is a vivid retelling of just how sleazy and underhanded Gore and his operatives were in their quest for power. What disgraceful maneuvering - trying to disenfranchise military voters - for someone who wanted to be commander in chief.

In Bush counties, 29% of overseas ballots were disallowed, but the figure was 60% in Gore counties; in pliant Broward, the Gore kill rate was 77%.This tells it all. To all of those who think LIEberman is such a wonderful guy, remember he went along with this, in fact endorsed it.

Pandering to the mindless MTV set who think that sort of language is cool? Looks silly even if the FAA says it is alright - well not in my house.

They also fail to ever report the fact that the networks all announcing that the Florida election was over one hour before the polls closed in the heavily Republican Florida panhandle easily cost Bush thousands of votes.I was shocked when the networks declared Gore the winner with just 2% of the ballots in. On the other hand it would have been equally wrong had they declared George W. the winner with just 2% in
