I'd guess it would be the North Isle. I don't know much about the NZ terrain, but do recall seeing similar layouts in TV shows/movies.

That's very interesting. But I notice something. Kind of in the middle of the picture, there seems to be a series of formations--almost like crop circles, if I didn't know better--extending from the land upward across the river-like body of water. The first one is a little more than a half-circle, then a full circle, then a curved bar. . . .
Are they trying to communicate with us?
