I knew about Utah's terrible weather and power outages, but Reddy Kilowatt didn't mean anything to me.

The important thing is that everyone in Salt Lake got it and probably enjoyed it now that they are thawed out.

It was rough on the older folks. The younger neighbors took it as a sort of adventure, and we all took care of one another. My power was out for a day... I put the beer out on the deck, put batteries in my boom box, cranked it up, and waited for neighbors to appear... and they did :o)

you got power? no. batteries. have a beer. ya hungry? (we have natural gas range, oven, and water heater) hmmm. time to fire up ole smokey, the propane grille.
