I'm from LA (lower Alabama) and we love snow. About once every ten years we get an inch or two. It's a hoot. People abandon their cars in the middle of intersections, schools and businesses immediately close, and us rednecks with 4-wheel drives get to ride around and enjoy it all. ;-)

Imagine that kind of reaction up here (land of cheese and beer, Wisconsin, here). I have what has to be the worst FWD car for the snow (pre-'97 Saturn SC/SC2), and I have no real problems when we get a nice dusting (pretty much anything less than 4 inches). I just have to shovel out the driveway before I back up it, though (decent grade uphill, and it's easier to shovel if it's not compacted).
Not-quite-Fox News Alert material; Tropicana is losing its best commercial as we go back to Yellow Alert later today.
