The night of the election was most interesting.
I can still remember the Democrats arguing late at night and early morning about how to count the ballots.
They'd caucus, meet with the reporters, and then recount. The result was the same every time -- Gore came up short.
Recount... did Gore win? No. We must not be counting the ballots correctly. Recount...did Gore win? No. We must not be counting the ballots correctly. They did this all night long.
What a circus. And it is totally ludicrous for the Democrats to claim that the election was stolen from them.

And it is totally ludicrous for the Democrats to claim that the election was stolen from them. They had done everything needed to steal the election themselves, and a gracious Providence just nuked all their efforts with a little tweak.
Seems more obvious to me every time I look at this history.
