Is it possible that the square hole was formed from a crystal while "Sushi" was in the ground and the vesicles were formed when a meteor struck the ground and "Sushi" became a piece of ejecta?

Anything's possible. But I'm not even yet convinced we're seeing a hole in the rock. I don't yet have a clue about what the image is showing and how it got there. For a little while I'm enjoying that old science-fictional "suspension of disbelief." It allows the mind to relax all its dogma and consider the possibility of wonderful previously unimagined stuff. There's probably a very simple scientific explanation but I'll leave that to the NASA geologists.
