I'd be foaming at the mouth if Bush hadn't thought it through, took the small steps, and made this an irreversible Executive Order. At least the voters get a chance to mull it over, and Congress gets to tackle the issue. I still cannot believe that nearly 48 hours have passed and so much knee jerking going on still. Rush took 24 hours to figure it out. I figured it out right after the speech was finished. As an aside, the Democratic and third party reaction to this proposal was so predictable.
