Actually Bush is fluent in Spanish, I believe.

It's only going to get worse. FR was almost as insane, during the last primary/election cycle, that one often felt that DU had taken over completely. I have the feeling ( have had, for at least the last 8 months ) that '04 would be even worse. :-(

Anyone who considers voting for Dean for ANY reason on ANY point of the political spectrum... needs help ;-)
His people are really scary...

This is a steaming pile of patronizing crap. Rush is just trying to distract us from the issues.
If you molest little children, doing it in the open where people can see you does not make it noble. (Note: I did not say that Bush is a child molestor; I am merely illustated the fact that despicable acts are not ennobled by being committed openly.)
Capitulation is not leadership!! It is treason.
If this is to be Bush policy, there's no reason to re-eect Bush. At this point, I will vote to re-elect my Congressman (who opposes this plan), but will not vote for Bush. It's the only effective way to send a message to future Republican Presidents and we can hope that a Republican Congress can hold the fort until we regain control of the White House.

Clark is even scarier.!!
His alignment with the Clintons, shows that his judgment is very very flawed. I guess his megalomania got the best of him.!!!

Because they quit!
There is an element of economic theory you are touching on correctly. Read on to the other posts, we discussed it thouroughly.

Ick... good point!
It's interesting watching him lose his temper so easily, though, I bet it would be easy to egg him into doing that during a televised debate!
We could even leave ashtrays about in opportune locations... and pass out helmuts ;-)

You know one way to do that is make them legal...
If we get rid of the 11 million or so illegal aliens working in the country now who will do that work? **
Last I checked today there are currently only 8.9 million* employable americans without jobs, and the economy is quickly absorbing them now.
Of those many are already in transition to a new job.
So what happens if we take your advice?
Who does all the work? Every able hand would have to go to work! many of those have no desire to work.
Many more have even less desire to work picking up my Brush pile! Many have a different skillset.
Many in those numbers would have to be forced into picking up my brush pile, or would only do it for a very high price.
How does the market move skills to the most efficient area if it is paralyzed by full employment?
Get rid of welfare and you motivate a lot of people to work.

Perhaps I can look forward to one moment of mirth before death.Get a grip on yourself, I have seen you make some well reasoned posts, but in this one you have driven over the cliff. The issue is complex and has many branches that effect almost everyone's life, this did not happen over night and will not be solved over night.
This gives you no right to call anyone un-american and wishing a god of no mercy and love to eat somebody-----see how ridiculous this statement looks.

Right on!
11 - 15 Million Illegals Employed.
only 8.9 Million Employable Legals Without Jobs**.
There is a gap of 3-6 million there...
Full employment is a very unhealthy thing. Think of the last guy from the 8.9 million*. Let's call him George. He could be a graduate student about to crack the fuel cell. But the only job he could get is cleaning toilets, because everyone else in the country has a job, and no one wants to give it up for a lesser job.
This paralysis is why Macro-Economist recognize a 5-6% unemployment rate is required for a healthy economy. This way the market can move labor resources around to the most effiecient spots.
