Dan you have it 100% right. All the stuff this guy is smearing happened in 1994-1997. Brett paid his pennance, believe me. I live in Minneapolis, and I heard thousands of Vicodin references from the blockhead Viking fans.

That should have played itself out six years ago. This assclown writer is just evil.

Y'know what really irks me? Referencing that Scott Favre killed a "family friend". Family Friend??? It was his best friend! Brett's other brother! That's just a horsesh*t smear.

My career in football is only at the high school level, but I can see how easy (with the mentality and pressure) it is on both ends for someone to get hooked on Vicodin or painkillers. I just magnify most of the injuries by 10 with the speed and strength. I've been lucky in my case(no knees, neck, only minor back, etc). And as painful as something is, missing those games and 'letting the team down' is even more painful.

As a coach, we had to take a player out with an injured neck. He was fighting back tears from the pain(and more likely from possibly missing his first game next week), but he STILL wanted to be out there. He tried to hide it from us, but I overheard the other players telling him to tell one of the coaches so we jumped in there before he got hurt even more and took him to see the trainer.

Any athlete that gets hooked and beats Vicodin or any other painkiller has greatly earned my respect.

As for this writer jerk, he better hope he doesn't have to experience what happened to Scott Favre. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, and it sure wouldn't suprise me to see some retribuation in some form against this jackass.
