Really, you liked it? Or were you just motivated to come over here and dump some sarcasm on Brett because you're a member of the Lake Mills Optimist Club? Either you're a lousy advocate or a fraud. I know which.

Is there a litmus test to be in the Lake Mills Optimist Club? Packer fans only? You seem to know who I am, why don't you i.d. yourself?

I'll be happy to let you know who I am if we meet in person.

You'd know about the litmus test - the only way you can reconcile your prior comment with being an "Optimist" is if you were a fan of the Rams' defense that year, which I'm guessing isn't the case. Not an example I'd strive to set for kiddies.

If you know anything about me you would know that I am not a Packer fan. I am from San Diego and unfortunately a diehard Charger fan, which is also why I don't talk too much smack.

And because I am from San Diego I am also a Marshall Faulk fan. I do like KGB (Kabeer) as well but I do not like the Packers and I do not like Brett Favre.

Now tell me what my football allegiances have to do with being in the Optimist Club? Should I no longer volunteer and/or pay my dues?

Should I close my Free Republic account as well because I don't like Saint Brett?

I know plenty about you.

It's not football allegiances - it's dumping. I'll remember you much more for being a dumper than for being an optimist.

Now I'm convinced that you're both a fraud and a lousy advocate.

Lando, two hours after your posting. Don't know how this thread got resurrected, but you are one class act. Bless you and yours. Would that everyone from BOTH sides of this "argument" could learn from your example.

Well apparently your kryptonite is anything negative said about the Packers and/or Brett Favre.

I will forgive your personal attacks however, considering the outcome of the Eagles game and that last pick Favre threw.

Because you are apparently not going to i.d. yourself, I am signing off.

"The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising after you fall." How many fathers have fallen but yet have remained heros in the eyes of their children, especially if they've overcome whatever it was that caused them to fall? Would you abandon a friend if he had had the same problem as, say, a Brett Favre? Or would you cut your friendship loose and say, "sorry pal, but you don't measure up to my standards"? And if I know my fellow Packer fans, we'll get over what happened tonight. It'll be disappointing for awhile but what's done is done. So be it.

So your the guilty party. Figures. You just couldn't leave well enough alone could you? You could have let this thread die on its own but you just had to resurrect it didn't you. My previous post concerning you still stands. For someone from the 82nd ABN , you have NO CLASS. Cheers!

Thanks jaugust. Your response means more to me than you can know. It may sound weird, but the game's outcome did not disturb my sleep last nite....this thread did. God Bless.

Waaa.... Just keep crying. I am sure if you feel I have no class I wouldn't want you thinking I had any anyway. As my first post to you still stands. You didn't like someones opinion so you state they have no class.... genius. BTW did you run home and tell mommy too?

that was the best best response I had read from you all week. Not filled with any remarks directed at anyone else who was wrong if they didn't like your team or QB. We all are petty at times. As the saying goes... Throwing stones in a glass house.......

Thanks MTR for your gracious response. I hope we cross paths, not swords, elsewhere in this wonderful forum. At the end of the day, we are all (I hope) Red, White and Blue. Our sport(s) is only a diversion from from the realities of life. Thank God! All the best,

Lando

That's quite a swing, from hero status to cutting someone loose as a friend. No, I wouldn't cut anyone loose as a friend for overcoming their addictions. As I said, I admire what Brett Favre has done to overcome his problems just as I have admiration for friends and relatives for doing the same but does that make one a hero? Sorry, I'll admit that my bar for heroism is alot higher than that.

Coming soon, Paul Hornung. Golden Boy?
