I would think that Packer fans would have more class than to act like a Drug Addict Favre is not god.

First of all Dallas was not in football back in the 20's. So when comparing them we use the modern era and that is the Superbowl. Since I used your words.. the Superbowl you don't like it. Hey we cant all have won 5 superbowls. But when you didn't win that argument you phrased it a different way. I am sure that you don't like the fact that your Packers have been beaten 7 of the last 8 times they have played Dallas. You didn't have a comment for that one.

Why is not classy to dislike a drug addict? If you want to love drug addicts that is your business. I dont like Michael Irvin and he was a Cowboy with a drug problem. Each person has their favorite players and teams. Take the blinders off for a minute and dont think that whole world loves Brett Favre just because you do.

Class hasn't much to do with it. It's more about compassion and admiration, neither of which seem to be found in abundant quantities in your repertoire.

They seem to have been replaced with a boatload of "holier-than-thou."

Thanks--as do you!

Our good manners may have something to do with the fact that we are both from the "Lando Lincoln". I was born in Bloomington, IL and the bulk of my relatives still reside in that neck of the woods.

Here is an excerpt from this morning's Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. I'd be ticked as an Eagles fan or player that this idiot gave the Packers more motivation.

Philly fodder

Center Mike Flanagan hadn't read in its entirety an opinion column regarding Brett Favre that appeared Thursday in the Philadelphia Daily News. Nevertheless, he was outraged by the gist of it.

Written by Don Russell, the column itemized some of the less-memorable moments in Favre family history. Russell referred to Favre as "Saint" Brett and mocked the notion that the death of Irvin Favre on Dec. 21 had had some bearing on the Packers' playoff fortunes.

"The guy's a scumbag," Flanagan said. "I'm embarrassed to be the same species that man is. You don't do that. Involving his family is so classless."

The Packers hardly need any more motivation.

"It's gotten around," Flanagan said. "I think guys know about it. For sure, when game time comes around, everybody will know about it."We were talking earlier. Should Brett know? It will be hard to keep away from him, I'm sure."

May as well be prototypical Yankee obnoxiousness.

Aw, you're just crabby because the Cowgirls got spanked last week and exited the playoffs in pathetic fashion.

So what? Where are the Cowboys playing this weekend? Ooops, that's right. They stunk it up in NC last weekend.

Amen, brother. I liked the 6 INT St Louis game as well.

Excellent and timely! My guess is that our FRiend from Missouri is less concerned over Brett Favre than he is in being contrary. Have a great day everyone!

Talk about pathetic!

You seek me out to take a gratuitous swipe.

Parcells will have the Cowboys in the Super Bowl in two years, bub.

Then, you'll have to figure out something else to be nasty about.

Was trying to point out in your post that it was dripping with hatred. There are many things I hate but people is not one of them. Even with his flaws, Favre is well- liked around these parts. I recall that Mark Chmura was alienated by Packer fans after his problems with his teenaged babysitter. His popularity went way down. But Favre's problems was an addiction to painkillers, not exactly an alienating type occurance. Hatred is as subjective as love, and not a valid argument in any case. Would you abandon a friend if you discovered he had an addiction to pain killers, or would you try to help him overcome his problem?

It'll take that long? You don't have much faith in the "Big Tuna" do you?

I'm not sure I know how he'd answer that.

The bigger issue is that Favre has overcome his problem and become a better husband, father, quarterback, and - dare I say? - role model in the process. Some people can't see those kinds of things when they're staring them in the face, though.
