What a crappy classless article by yet another Philly sportswriter. Does Philly realize why they're hated so much?

Does Philly realize why they're hated so much? Of course they do. They're the only team in the NFC East to NEVER win a Super Bowl (everybody else has won at least TWO), so they figure they've gotta be famous for somethin'.
May as well be prototypical Yankee obnoxiousness.

May as well be prototypical Yankee obnoxiousness. There's nothing wrong with standard, garden-variety obnoxiousness. Its colorful. But this article is just sick.

Does Philly realize why they're hated so much? They do. They don't care. In fact, they pride themselves on being a cut below gangsta wannabes.

What a crappy classless article by yet another Philly sportswriter. Does Philly realize why they're hated so much? The Eagle's Message Boards are blasting the article, so don't act so high and mighty by judging all Eagle's fans based on this one idiot. Apparently this author has done stupid things like this in the past just to get some attention.
All that being said, I think the "There is an angel on Brett's side" stuff is as stupid but just on the other end of the spectrum.

You are attempting to compare this drivel to a comment about an "angel on Brett's side"????

Well, when the Philadelphia Beagles enter the stadium on Sunday, they'll do what all dogs do - crap all over the field and smell things up.
Go GB!

To be honest I am so tired of the using the "Angel" looking out for Brett Favre routine so far. Favre has been a HOF QB without this nonsense. It is tragic that his father died at a young age but there is no angel looking out for him. My prediction is that Favre will throw 3 picks this weekend. I am not a Philly fan at all. I am a Cowboys fan so I really want the Eagles to lose. That being said Favre hasn't done anything in the playoffs since 1997. He has been a INT machine this year as well.

I don't care who wins, as New England is the team of destiny, this year.
But, I wish the Eagles would win a Super Bowl soon. They're dragging down the NFC East. with that "0" by their name.

I read this piece while eating lunch at the Wawa today.
It is clearly Favre who has no class. A lot of the "material" in this article was pulled right from Brett's own book, so don't blame the sportswriter.
By the way, right on the same page was another piece called "Co-conspirators" where the gentlemanly class of some other Packers is discussed: Joe Johnson's arrest for beating a bar patron with a metal pipe, plus his arrest last summer for possession of pot after a state trooper smelled it wafting out of his Mercedes; Marco Rivera's arrest for drunk driving after doing 95mph in a 45mph and blowing a .196; Ahman Green's arrest for beating his pregnant girlfriend (who is now his wife) and his smashing his SUV on a Wisconsin interstate and then leaving and failing to notify the cops; and Najeh Davenport's 2002 arrest for slipping into a co-ed's dorm closet and taking a dump in her laundry basket.
Them Packers are coming to Philly for the thrashing they deserve.

The city of so-called "Brotherly Love" -
A trial begins today for four ministers arrested in Philadelphia while preaching outside of a "gay pride" celebration event.
Jim Lymon, a New York evangelist, and Pennsylvania pastors Jim Grove, Stephen Garisto, and Michael Marcavage were arrested last July and charged with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass while evangelizing on a public street outside of "PrideFest" -- an annual homosexual, bisexual, and transgendered event. The day-long event featured various activities, including the sale of pornographic materials, public nudity, and open lewdness.
Marcavage says all four ministers cooperated with police but were arrested simply for preaching the gospel.
( My comment - I'm sure there are many fine citizens in Philadelphia, but the people need to hire a private contractor to haul some of the garbage away.)
