With Donald Trump in charge, 'Apprentice' isn't business as usual (NBC reality show debuts today)

One lesson is abundantly clear in "The Apprentice," the new reality show that positions Donald Trump as a demigod. Money -- even The Donald's billions of dollars -- can't buy good hair. With his seedy combover, which perches on his forehead like a mohair racoon, the world-famous real estate baron is living proof that conspicuous consumption does not necessarily include a personal Fab Five.

She used a ploy to act like she didn't get it, but in reality I'm sure she did but does not care.

Her ploy was to say "we", as in "Oh, we will" get the truth out or some such.

Earth to Omarosa, the entire U.S. has your number.

Unfortunately for us, not everbody will be repelled by knowing what she's about so I do think we have not seen the last of her.

From Trump's comments, he would have admired such a strong line in the sand.

Just guessing...this was a couple weeks ago when I could stil see the end of F & F.

Between Omarosa making noises about running and the widows saying one of them might run, it's kind of funny to hear this morning that Nick says he might make a political run!

Yes, this is exactly right. If this was truly for all the marbles, there had to be a 24/7 zero tolerance attitude on his team. Kwami should have bounced 'O' the first time she had an unacceptable answer. Kwami should have had his project management software fired up, PDA and cell phone working simultaneously. Instead, he wined and dined. Instead he talked about trusting subordinates. As Johnnie B said in Animal House, "you [screwed] up, you trusted us" - in this case it was about trusting the narsisistic-Democrat-and-Gore-would-be-wonk: The Omarosa. Game over.

I gotta say, Assaroma's fifteen minutes of fame is passing by w-a-a-y too slowly for me. It has been particularly difficult to endure - I keep hoping I've seen the last of her but she keeps popping up.

It looks like Kwame Jackson, the runner-up on the final episode of NBC's The Apprentice for a "huge job" with egomaniac real-estate developer Donald Trump, won't have to learn anything about fast-food chicken after all.

According to Extra!, Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team, made a "huge job offer" to Kwame after Bill Rancic was hired by Trump instead of Kwame. Kwame told Extra! that Cuban had waited for hours at The Apprentice after-show cast party before finally cornering Kwame so that he could make the offer.

Kwame is still "deciding" whether to accept but notes that he is "just flattered that [Cuban] waited around for me." As he should be. In a Forbes online poll, Cuban was second choice as the billionaire that respondents would most like to work for, with 18% of the vote (first was Oprah Winfrey, with 32%), while Trump was second choice as the billionaire that respondents would least like to work for, with 22% (Leona Helmsley was first with 29%).

Considering that Cuban is in the process of starting his own reality TV show, The Benefactor for ABC, we wonder whether he really wants to pick Kwame's brain about The Apprentice creator/producer Mark Burnett's production techniques. If this is a real offer, however, Kwame would appear to have come out on top, even if Bill got the job with Trump.

Trump said something encouraging to Troy at the very end -- I think if Troy will approach Trump, he may well get a job, but as part of the show, Trump couldn't have handed out more than one top level job.

Even if Troy would get a lower level job, but with Trump's eye on him, he could still go far.

If not, Troy was doing very well on his own, it seemed.

I heard yesterday on one of the entertainment channels that Trump has hired Troy to work onscreen with the next batch of contestants, as kind of a mentor/coach.

Troy's a favorite of mine. I've read he has a deaf sister and I know that could be challenging having a family member with a challenge like that. He knew something was up with Omarosa when she got the phone call at the table; I'm surprised he didn't take Kwame aside. Oh well, maybe he did not want to badmouth Omarasa. If Kwame had a little bit of Troy's fire, I bet Kwame would be the Apprentice today. I did see Kwame on BET yesterday and he said he would never hire Omarosa again.
