Given the current situation, it is amazing that so many conservatives believe that illegal aliens and their employers are suddenly going to abide by the conventions of this new program.

Forget conservatives for a minute. I'm amazed that anybody believes that illegal aliens and their employers are suddenly going to abide by the law. (Especially anybody old enough to remember the fiasco of the 1986 amnesty.)
