Fox is not insane, but our leaders are acting that way. Wages for once lucrative construction jobs have stagnated or dropped because these jobs are being taken over by illegals. How can a hard working, blue-collar, U.S. citizen and family man compete with workers who sleep eight to a trailer on the floor with sleeping bags? Meanwhile, most of their wages are sent to Mexico. It is NOT true that illegals are doing the jobs that Americans won't do. It is true that they are doing these jobs for less than American workers are willing to accept. Does that mean the American workers are greedy and lazy? No!! It means that they are being undermined by a government that has completely turned a blind eye to their plight. It's way past time to clamp down hard on businesses that hire illegals.
Next blue collar target is the transportation industry. Drivers of all sorts. Bush's plan will allow them to get US driver's license privileges.
