An Israeli undercover unit killed a Palestinian activist from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, Palestinian security and medical sources said.
Asaad Salah Khaliliyeh, 32, was shot dead in front of the Jenin municipality by plainclothed Israeli security forces traveling in a civilian vehicle, the sources said, according to AFP.
The Palestinian was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. Khaliliyeh was also a member of the Palestinian police services.
The head of the Al-Aqsa group in Jenin, Zaqaria Zubeidi, confirmed Khaliliyeh had been killed and promised bloody revenge. "Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades will retaliate for this operation and continue their resistance against soldiers and settlers," he told AFP.

Looks like Israel has retaken the advantage.
With the fence in place and hunter-killer teams on the prowl, the cowardly Palestinians will soon fake overtures for peace.
They don't mind sending children to death, but when the leaders get picked off, one by one, their fear will send them into the nearest spider hole!

Terrorist nullification is NOT 'assassination'. Sorry, but I can't agree with you on this one.
The Israelis were plainclothes - which means they were not in uniform, and therefore not legitimate military. As police, they can arrest, or fire if they are being attacked. They did neither - they went up to the guy, shot, and killed him. That's about as textbook a case of assassination as you can ask for.
It may be justified, but it's still assassination.
