"Think for how the left will bring up (aka attack) her involvement w/ the 2000 election."

Why is the relevant. She executed the law as she interpreted it. Nothing wrong with that.

I think the lefts' line will be:

"This is the woman that put George W. Bush in the White House, she must be destroyed"

And when was the last time the left cared about the law?

That's not in dispute.

I'm with you.

Conservatives for a moment should stop being "compaaaaaasionate", and grow a damned backbone.

What she did was legally the right thing to do, and what the Democrats tried to do in Florida was clearly an attempt at America's first coup d'etat. They failed. We won. She won. America won.

No apologies. No wavering. She's good enough for the Senate for me.

And if she is running against something Karl Rove is up promoting, that is even more tasty tabasco in the soup for me. Go for it.

If you are sane, you will agree that Katherine Harris was doing her job.

The left and their cohorts in the media are NOT sane.

We live in the real world and sometimes that means not insisting on your way.

From yesterday evening.........

U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris of Florida to announce Senate election plans next week

Wednesday, January 7, 2004

(01-07) 16:43 PST TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) --

U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris has decided whether she will run for retiring Sen. Bob Graham's seat and plans to reveal her plans next week, associates said Wednesday.

Harris did not return calls for comment, but supporters said she is leaning toward entering the race.

She would become the instant front-runner in a crowded field of Republicans while also stirring up memories of the 2000 presidential election recount. As secretary of state, Harris oversaw the disputed count that gave George W. Bush a crucial 537-vote victory in Florida.

A spokesman for Harris said she was still considering the race and an announcement might come next week. But others close to her said she has already made up her mind.

"She knows what she's going to do," said Margaret Wise, a friend and campaign finance chairwoman.

Sarasota County's GOP chairman, Tramm Hudson, said he spoke to Harris Tuesday night and that she seemed ready to run.

Graham, a Democrat, announced his retirement in November. Several Democrats have expressed interested in the seat.

Of course there's nothing wrong with that - she stood her ground and followed the law.

That's why the Dims hate her so much. She would be a lightning rod in 04, an added incentive to for the Bring Out Your Dead crowd. Timing is everything...
